當(dāng)?shù)仉娢缓偷入娢蛔鳂I(yè)均不能滿足作業(yè)要求時(shí)，可采用中間電位作業(yè)法進(jìn)行作業(yè)，中間電位作業(yè)法是介于兩者之間的一種方法。它要求人體既要與帶電體保持一定距離，也要和大地（接地體）保持一定距離。此時(shí)人體的電位是介于地電位與帶 電體的高電位之間的某一個(gè)懸浮電位。

中間電位作業(yè)法為接地體→絕緣體→人體→絕緣體→帶電體，人體通過兩部分絕緣體分別與接地體和帶電體隔開，由兩部分絕緣體限制流經(jīng)人體的電路，所以只要絕緣操作工具和絕緣平臺(tái)的絕緣水平滿足規(guī)定，由絕緣操作工具的絕緣電阻和絕緣平臺(tái)的絕緣電阻組成的絕緣體即可將泄漏電流限制到微安級(jí)水平。同時(shí)，兩段空氣間隙達(dá)到規(guī)定的作業(yè)間隙，由兩段空氣間隙組成的電容回路也可將通過人體的電容電流限制到微安級(jí)水平。中間電位作業(yè)就可以安全地進(jìn)行。由于人體電位高于地電位，體表場(chǎng)強(qiáng)也相對(duì)較高，應(yīng)采取相應(yīng)的電場(chǎng)防護(hù)措施，以防止人體產(chǎn)生不適。
